Printed Circuit Board

PCB is an acronym for the English word group "Printed Circuit Board". It means "Printing Circuit Board" in Turkish.

Poly chlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are produced for industrial purposes and are banned from production in many countries of the world after they are determined to be permanent in nature. However, many products containing PCB (capacitors, transformers, hydraulic pumps, printing inks, paints, pesticides, making electrical insulation fluids to prevent burning and energy loss) threaten the environment and human health as they are still in use today. Due to their chemical stability and lipophilic properties, they tend to accumulate in nature and in the living organism. To date, PCBs are known to have many negative effects, including toxic, carcinogenic, immune suppressor, teratogenic and endocrine disruptor.

The substrate is glass fiber. Historically, the most common identifier for this fiberglass is the type "FR4". FR4s are heat resistant, self-extinguishing, strongly structured to withstand moisture and shock. It's easy to work on. That's why it's the most commonly used PCB method.

Cheaper PCBs are made with other materials such as epoxies or phenolysts, which lack the durability of FR4 but are much cheaper. Such layers are found in low-quality consumer electronics.

The next layer is a thin copper foil layered with heat and adhesive to the plate. In common, double-sided PCBs, copper is applied to both sides of the substrate. In low-cost electronics, the PCB only has copper on one side.

Solder mask

The layer above the copper foil is called a solder mask. This layer gives the PCB a green (or red) color. It is coated on the copper layer so that copper traces do not come into accidental contact with other metal, soldering or conductive ends. This layer helps the user solder in the right places.

The white screen printing layer is applied above the solder mask layer. Screen printing adds letters, numbers, and symbols to the PCB that make it easier to assemble and for indicators to better understand the dashboard. Screen printing tags are often used to indicate what the function of each pin or LED is.

Health Effects
These environmental pollutant agents, which are reported to be transported to every living thing on earth, including humans, have been found to have disruptive, neurotoxic, carcinogenic, teratogenic effects and cause behavioral disorders.
