Representatives of Sylvania dealers, project partners, suppliers and the Lighting Equipment Manufacturers Association (AGİd) and the Turkish National Committee for Lighting (ATMK), two important communities of the lighting industry, attended the meeting.
Sylvania Global CEO Sally Han stated that Sylvania is a company with over 100 years of long history and operates in over 50 countries worldwide today, and that they are working with the approach of providing the best solution without sacrificing quality. Emphasizing that Sylvania is a company that specializes in interior lighting, Han noted that it has special solutions for schools, offices, factories, hotels, museums, warehouses, shopping malls.
Sally Han stated that the whole world obtains lighting products from China. That's why we advise manufacturers in China to invest outside China. We are very serious about this and therefore we are in Turkey. Together with our suppliers and customers in Turkey, we will achieve this with a mutual win-win approach."
Ayhan Siriner, Regional President of Sylvania Middle East, Turkey and CIS Countries, stated that lighting products today have undergone significant transformation based on the need for wireless communication and easy operation, and said that LED technology has come to the forefront at this point. "With many innovative lighting technologies that have been on the agenda recently, we will hear more about the term smart lighting in the coming days. Intelligent lighting solutions will be used to monitor energy, determine the amount of use through sensors, and process data depending on building management systems."
Stating that SylSmart, the smart lighting solution they have brought to the sector, has a memory and smart structure, Siriner said: "Thanks to the artificial intelligence in its content, it is designed to predict your movements and use the right light at the right time, in the right amount. It saves up to 35 percent energy compared to other smart lighting solutions and up to 90 percent compared to standard lighting solutions."
Turkey will be a production base
Azim Tuncinar told the meeting that Sylvania Turkey is operating with the goal of 'Towards the Top in Lighting'.
