LED technology Has increased the demand for imported products by moving the lighting industry to a different point. As a result of our R&D efforts to make our lighting sector more independent, we have developed intermediate products that the sector needs. Now we have discussed their work with ALTEZ ELECTRONICS Chairman ALTAN EZER, who started his remarks that we aim to expand to world markets with our more qualified products.
Can you briefly introduce ALTEZ Electronic Lighting company and its products?
Altez Electronic Lighting initially started with the manufacture of emergency lighting and EMERGENCY OUTPUT fixtures, but it also strengthened its place in the sector mainly with the manufacture of compenent electronics in the lighting sector. As a company, we have been one of the companies that have the most ambitious production line in emergency kits of all lighting companies for about 15 years, produced and sold the most, and gave the most electronic components in this regard in the market.
Do these components belong to the normal DALI system or standard lighting?
It is in the form of a version of standard lighting used in emergency lighting and DALI studies are also underway. These studies lasted close to two years and are about to be finished. Although the software is difficult, we have made our own software and hopefully it will be on the market in 2021.
What do we know when we say emergency lighting? Can we say that the emergency lighting industry is in its rightful place in Turkey? Can you make a general assessment both for the company and for the world markets?
I certainly don't think that emergency lighting is where it deserves to be in Turkey. We see that the value given to human beings in this regard is inadequate and therefore the importance given to fire in carrying out the necessary controls in our country is not of the same importance in emergency lighting. Here, the most important organ of emergency lighting is the battery. The battery is a consumable. This battery must be checked or replaced in 3-5 years. It is mandatory to keep records within the framework of the standards. Individually, building owners, project plotters and practitioners are responsible.God forbid, one of the first assessments to be made within the scope of insurance after a fire is whether the batteries are alive and whether records are kept. This is the most important purpose of the DALI system. DALI system; It is a system that can first group emergency lighting, control it separately, but also automatically check the battery, which is the necessity of emergency lighting. When we compare our country with abroad, we see that the DALI system unfortunately has a place in a very small number of projects.
Among the measures to prevent fires, you emphasized that fire tubes are regularly checked, but the same sensitivity is not shown in terms of batteries. What do you think can be done in terms of raising public awareness about this issue?
In this regard, I think that the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization should take over in our country. Customs can be quotad and poor quality products, especially those entering from China, can be prevented from entering our country.
WITH THE MONEY WE PAY ANNUALLY FOR QUALITY PRODUCTS, THE FACILITIES NEEDED BY THE SECTOR CAN BE ESTABLISHED.
You mentioned the production of component driver products. What is your investment-weighted goal for this? How do you conduct the certification process?
We've been in the industry for 15 years and we know what needs are there. We carry out our work on emergency output fixtures and kit types through continuous R&D, production and demand from the field. After the excess of EMERGENCY OUTPUT fixtures and kit products, we have moved one step further towards the diversity of driver products. Because we can say that the range of driver products is quite wide. As a supplier of lighting manufacturers in this regard, we have been offering our products to the market for three years. But there's a before. Because we have been testing the driver in our products for 7-8 years. We attach great importance to the fact that the products we will launch have passed field and laboratory tests first. We also certify the products that have passed the tests in our field after passing the IMC and ENEC performance tests. Because our main target in this regard is foreign companies. We sell our products in a domestic way, but we want to add added value to our country with our sales abroad by keeping our target large and revealing world-class products. We aim to be a complete lighting supplier, not just emergency lighting.
We are currently implementing our products in our own projects in the domestic market. With the arrival of the document, we will also be opening abroad. However, we do not neglect to make our introductions and participate in fairs. Frankfurt fair in particular is a great advantage for us in this regard
You will attend the fair in Frankfurt. What products do you aim to stand out with in this fair?
We aim to stand out at the fair with our "Emergency Lighting kits and driver" products. By making our preliminary introductions, we will provide information to visitors. We intend to dominate the market with these products without falling into the Chinese segment.
Can you evaluate the years 2019-2020 as of the point of the lighting industry and in terms of your goals?
When we look at it on a monthly basis, we are talking about a large market of about 10 million liras. Unfortunately, a large part of this is poor quality products. I think it would be beneficial for the future of the market to have more frequent and regular audits. In addition, I think that classical lighting will maintain its current position regarding the future of the sector, but the sector will develop technologically with the contribution of LED products in architectural lighting and technical lighting. Public institutions must be in contact with manufacturers in order to ensure confidence in domestic products. In order to fully express the documented products, it is useful for the people in the institutions to be intertwined with the sector. Seminars and congresses are held in our country. AGİd and ATMK are working for information purposes. They are institutions where the public side and tender holders can receive independent information. It is useful for them to participate in sectoral congresses and seminars. At least it is better understood what poor quality products are.
