In this article, information will be given about applications designed without AC/DC converter in LED fixtures that replace traditional lighting fixtures.

As we know, LED modules operate at the right current and require special drives according to the type and power of the light source. These drives can be constant current or constant voltage depending on the type of light source. In these modules, where direct mains voltage is applied, special integrateds are used that can provide long-lasting and low total harmonic distortion (low THD) and high power factor (high PF) because the electrolytic capacitor is not used, which is very small in size compared to standard drives. It is thought to be preferred in practice because it provides significant advantages over other drivers, no additional drivers are required and smaller and more stylish designs can be made.

Today, LED fixtures can easily replace traditional fixtures except for 250W and 400W high pressure fixtures. In today's case, the economic life of a properly designed LED fixture is 3 times longer than the T8 flöresan luminaire, 2 times longer than the T5 flöresan luminaire, 5 times longer than the compact flöresan fixture, and 4 times longer than the light-induced fixture in the metal halide.
