Schréder, a leading global provider of outdoor lighting solutions with Huawei, unveiled the Shuffle Plant, a multifunctional lighting column they jointly developed at the eighth Global Mobile Broadband Forum in London on November 17, 2017. The Shuffle Plant is based on the modular Shuffle lighting-based system and Huawei's open-air small cell, making the next generation connection accessible to everyone. The Shuffle Plant attracted attention from operators and major industry customers around the world when it was presented at the forum summit.

Proud to introduce the Shuffle plant, Schréder and Huawei collaborated last year to incorporate Huawei's open integration station into Shuffle. At the Global Mobile Broadband Forum in London on 17 November 2017, the two companies signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic cooperation that will enable the joint development of solutions that illuminate and connect cities.Ever-evolving mobile broadband technology is changing people's daily lives and introducing new jobs. The increasing number of smart devices and wireless users is causing an explosion in consumption. Operators have to offer great capacity and connectivity, but it is very difficult to acquire a facility in a dense urban area with traditional plant solution.

Street lamps, the ideal multi-application platform for smart city development, are available almost everywhere and operate regularly depending on a power source.Schréder introduced its modular Shuffle lighting-based system in 2015. Much more than a lighting column, Shuffle is able to integrate control systems, speakers, surveillance cameras, hot spots, electric vehicle chargers, signage and more smart services to help cities provide the connection citizens expect. The Shuffle Plant allows cities to improve 4G coverage and inconspicuously increase network capacity. This thin column perfectly blends with the urban environment, eliminating the dazzles that can disturb the inhabitants of the city. In addition, their infrastructure offers the opportunity to successfully implement 5G coverage in the future.

Speaking at the summit, Schréder CIO Nicolas Keutgen said, "This is an exciting situation in the industry and we are very pleased to cooperate with Huawei. Our strategic partnership combines the talents of two leading players; to provide the best end-to-end solutions to meet the needs of our customers worldwide."

Zhou Yuefeng, CMO of Huawei's wireless product line, said, "Acquiring facilities has become a big problem that always bothers operators who want to expand their networks. The synergy introduced by the Shuffle Plant will provide an effective solution and enable municipalities and operators to expand and accelerate the network structure. Huawei is ready to work with all industry leaders to accelerate the next generation of connectivity."
