Efe Glass Lighting sector, which says "Artist spirits touch fire with love", is among our important companies that manufacture glass. In this issue, we discussed glass manufacturing and the company's goals with Efe Glass General Manager Hami Eyilik.
Can you briefly tell us about your company?
Founded in 1991, our company operates in Istanbul Küçükköy with a daily production capacity of 25 tons and a closed production facility of 10,000 square feet and nearly 300 employees. In addition to lighting and glassware glass manufacturing, we carry out special manufacturing in line with customer demands.
Efe glass is among our established companies with a history of 28 years. Can you evaluate the point of glass processing from the past to the present?
Historically, glass has had its own artistic approach for centuries. This is actually the most important factor that connects our company to the sector. It is necessary not to stray from these values. Following technological developments and applying them in our production area contributes to our response to customer demands more quickly.
Lighting also stands out as a whole of glass and light. Do you think our country has reached the desired level as a design?
There are glass and ceramic departments academically in our country. Lighting design is usually a course under building physics and an area to specialize in. There are certified trainings organized by some institutions, but frankly, I don't think that's enough. In order to reach the desired levels by design, it is necessary to be in the kitchen of this business and to cooperate more with glass manufacturers.
You're bringing Cam to life and making him special. How do you project your special projects to Cam?
As a result of our R&D and design efforts over the years, we have been fully addressing the global market,
We have become a company with a say with the various products we offer to the market. In special projects, we offer all the advantages of being a manufacturer to our customers. We produce products specific to glass art with customer-oriented designs.
In our country, you take part in many social responsibility projects related to Glass. What stands out most in these events. How do you rate people's interest?
As a company, we try to support social responsibility projects. In social responsibility projects, glass art complements each other very nicely with the project. In short, you can successfully achieve your goal with the art of glass.
There are Glass and Ceramics departments in universities. How do you rate these episodes?
There are glass and ceramic departments academically in our country. In order to reach the desired levels by design, it is necessary to be in the kitchen of this business and to cooperate more with glass manufacturers. As a company, we do not sever our communication with universities. We do good work especially with Istanbul University. We provide internships and employment opportunities for university students. In short, we support education both theoretically and practically with all our possibilities.
As a company, you take part in many fairs abroad? Which countries do you ship weighted products to abroad?
As a company, we participate in many fairs in the field of lighting and glassware. We strive to represent our country in the best way. We export to many countries of the world, especially Europe and America.
What are your future goals as Efe Cam?
As a company, our goal is to become a leading company in the sector by growing in the target market and increasing its brand value with increasing customer satisfaction.
